I’m so glad you are here!  My name is Laura Bryant and I’ve created this website/blog as a way to gather all my tutorials and information in one place as a resource of things I’d like to share.

When I returned to the work force after many years as a stay-at-home mom, I got frustrated.  I wanted to decorate my cubicle with fun and colorful quilts, stitchery, and art.   Most of the patterns and designs I could find were either the wrong size or a bit to granny/cutesy for a professional environment.   So I decided I would need to create some myself.  I make the occasional bed size quilt but most of my work is wall quilt sized since I quilt on my domestic machine.

And since this is an “About Me” page, I’ll share some random facts:    I work full time as a mechanical engineer (which is NOT my passion).   I’m a single mom (& now a Nana!) with an empty nest and grown kids.  I’ve been a quilter since the 80’s when I made my first quilt for my college dorm room bed.  I overshare.  I love science fiction.  I doodle a lot.  I’m a cat lady (and yes, probably crazy) with 3 cats.   I have far too many creative hobbies.  I’m a zoo nerd.  I love science fiction.  I’m a Girl Scout.   I’m an Aggie.  I adore listening to Audiobooks and podcasts while I commute and while I create.   I’m an introvert.    I can tap dance.   I could eat tacos for every meal.  I’d love to hear from you.
